During today’s Active Time Report, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata shared a little bit about an upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro update patch that the RPG is getting in December.

The December-bound patch will be mostly to increase the framerate of the game to adjust to the PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Tabata, they’re currently working on tuning the game so that when playing in Full-HD (1080p), they’ll be able to put in some excess power into the framerates.

The aim of the patch is to bring the game to 60fps, but at the moment it floats somewhere around 40~50fps. Again, the 60 frames per second is for when the game is running in 1080p. It’ll also have an upscaled 4K mode but that will run at about 30fps.

Final Fantasy XV releases on November 29, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
