During Final Fantasy XIV’s Fan Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, this past weekend, the game’s upcoming expansion, Stormblood, was announced for “early summer” next year. Additionally, producer Naoki Yoshida was in attendance and gave fans a look at some content to look forward to in the expansion, including a teaser trailer, a glimpse of new areas, and some artwork of new job gear for Dark Knight, White Mage, Black Mage, and Bard. One of Stormblood’s main antagonists, Zenos Yae Galvus, XIIth Legion Legatus and de facto ruler of Ala Mhigo, was also revealed.
Lastly, we got a look at some job-exclusive gear that players can expect to see after Stormblood’s launch.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. It’s 4.0 expansion, Stormblood, is slated to release in early summer 2017.
