Namco Bandai is releasing Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike on UMD, DVD and Blu-ray. Tales fans will probably flock to the Blu-ray version since it includes Fedrock uniforms for Yuri and Estelle. Players can get these costumes by using a code included with the first print of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike.

Blu-ray and DVD discs also include a trailer collection, audio commentary, and a new video connecting the game with the movie. The UMD version only has Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike and trailer collection.

Retail prices for each format follow.

UMD – 2,940 yen ($32)
DVD – 6,090 yen ($68)
Blu-ray – 8,190 yen ($91)

Before you call your favorite importer please note PSP/PS3 games are region free, but not Blu-ray discs or UMD movies. You’ll need a Japanese PS3 or PSP to play these. Correction: North American and Japanese PlayStation 3s read the same Blu-ray region. European PS3s do not. Sorry about that!
