Acquireā€™s action adventure series Akibaā€™s Trip is getting a new anime series by studio Gonzo, scheduled to begin airing in Japan in January 2017, the company announced at Tokyo Game Show 2016.

Here are details on Akibaā€™s Trip: The Animation.

Akihabaraā€”the town that accepts everyone from beginners to the intermediate with open arms. Thereā€™s always someone who understands you, even if youā€™re alone. Itā€™s a place where you can do something, a place where youā€™re free to do something or anything, a town where both the body and heart can undress.

The town of ā€œAkibaā€ is packed with everything, from anime to games, maids to idols, from junk parts to B-class gourmet. The fight against the destroyers known as ā€œBagurimono,ā€ along with a ā€œboy meets girlā€ story is about to start!

Hiroshi Ikehata is the director, and heā€™s working with Kazuho Hyodo who is in charge of the seriesā€™ composition, along with Hajime Mitsuda as the character designer.
