Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that their streaming service PlayStation Now is headed to PC along with a USB wireless adaptor for the DualShock 4 controller.
The service will make various PlayStation titles such from the Uncharted, God of War, and Ratchet & Clank games, as well as various PS3 titles such as The Last of Us and Journey and over 400 other titles playable on PC.
As for the new DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor, it’ll launch sometime in early September for about $24.99 MSRP ($29.99 CAD) which will allow you to wirelessly connect a DualShock 4 controller to PC and Mac. The adaptor can also be used for PS4 Remote Play on PC and Mac, but it won’t be required to take advantage of the service.
Here’s the recommended specs for running PlayStation Now on PC:
- Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10
- 3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
- 300 MB or more; 2 GB or more of RAM
- Sound card; USB port
Again, keep in mind that a minimum of 5Mbps connection is required to use the service for any device, and a wired Internet connection is recommended for the optimal experience.
The launch date for PlayStation Now Windows PC app will be announced on a later date for North America.
