Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has confirmed the game’s recently announced Season Pass is not included in the Ultimate Collector’s Edition during a fan gathering held at Gamescom.
While answering fans’ questions, Tabata also confirmed no additional Collector’s Editions will be made available even though the game has been delayed until November. “We looked into making more UCE but we were told we still can’t,” he stated (via Twitter). The Square Enix Online Store exclusive costs $269.99 and is currently listed as sold out.
The Season Pass will be bundled in the Digital Premium Edition being sold on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store for $84.99. Presently, the Season Pass is not listed as being included in the physical Deluxe Edition available at retail for $89.99.
In another interview earlier today, Tabata reiterated the Season Pass includes supplemental content that is not being worked on until after the main game is complete. “We haven’t started the full development work on the DLC yet. We’re obviously still very much concentrating on getting the main game out there.”
Final Fantasy XV is now expected to release on November 29, 2016.
