William Adams isn’t alone as he fights his way through supernatural Yokai in Nioh. He’s aided by people inspired by three historical figures on his journey. To help people get accustomed to his allies, Koei Tecmo has offered information introducing Hanzo Hattori, Muneshige Tachibana, and Ginchiyo Tachibana, William’s three friends.

Hanzo Hattori is a ninja in the service of Ieyasu Tokugawa and head of his own clan. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, helping William find his way across the country. His guardian spirit is Nekomata, who also offers its aid to both Hanzo and William.

The heads of the Tachibana clan, Muneshige and Ginchiyo, help William a bit more directly. This husband and wife, as well as their two Raiken guardian spirits, aid him in his fight. Koei Tecmo notes that this couple and their spirits can come together for a special attack with the Thunder element attached to it.
