After its owner passes away, a dog sets out to find him in Don’t Disturb, an adventure/puzzle game designed to explore “traditional Asian views on the afterlife and the underworld.”
“In Asian folklore it is said that when there’s a funeral you don’t sing, don’t play, and most importantly Don’t Disturb!” says the developer on the game’s Greenlight page. The game is designed around this concept, asking how the culture views and accepts things like death, as well as their views on the afterlife. Through the dog’s mission to find his owner, players will learn more about this culture’s views on these subjects.
As the dog seeks its owner across the world, it will have to solve puzzles and help the various people and creatures it meets along the way. Through helping many of the game’s underworld denizens, the player will learn different stories. The player will also have several decisions to make that will affect the ending.
Don’t Disturb will be available in Q3 this year.
