Capcom announced that the new DLC character for Street Fighter V in Ibuki will release at the last week of June. They also shared more on input delay, rage quit, and more.
For starters, Capcom said that they will improve communication with the community in terms of priorities of the game and status updates, and we’ll see some changes in the coming weeks and months as the company will make efforts to quickly address topics that come up in the community as best as they can.
As for Ibuki’s release, Capcom mentioned that they had originally aimed to release her in the last week of May, but in order to provide the best possible experience they decided to postpone her, and she’ll be available in the last week of June instead, together with the Cinematic Story Mode. Again, they apologize for the lack of communication as they didn’t release the schedule sooner.
As for the reports of input delay, the development team is currently looking into the matter and will let us know more about it soon. On the topic of rage-quitting, Capcom reports that the latest solution has brought the amount of players who disconnect during matches down to 60%.
While that may be an improvement, they see that there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done, and will continue taking additional measures in the future to address this problem.
Street Fighter V is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
