Capcom Shows Off Mega Man’s New Look For The 2017 Animated Series

A Mega Man cartoon is coming in 2017. The animated show will be created by co-produced, distributed, and licensed by Dentsu Entertainment USA and DHX Media, with Man of Action developing the series. Now, ahead of the show’s launch, Capcom has provided a peek at Aki Light, the new Mega Man.

Aki Light is a robot living in Silicon City. Despite being a robot, he still leads a normal life and attends school. He also has quite a secret. His programming allows him to transform into Mega Man, complete with a Mega Buster and nanocore armor. He has to balance leading a dual life, where he’s a normal, robot attending school with other kids, while also transforming into Mega Man to protect Silicon City. Rush will also return as his pet robot dog.

 

The Mega Man cartoon will air in time for the 30th anniversary of the series. Dentsu Entertainment USA and DHX will handle US distribution of the show, Dentsu Inc. will take care of Asia, and DHX will handle remaining the remaining regions.
