Square Enix announced Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, a CGI movie in the style of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, during their Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event this evening.

The below is a look at the trailer that was shown at the event:

Staff from Advent Children are working on the film. While Advent Children was a way to thank Final Fantasy VII fans, Kingsglaive will be a way to get more people interested in Final Fantasy as a way to draw in new people who aren’t experienced with the brand. Production began three years ago.

During the event, we also got guest appearances from the voices behind its characters, with Aaron Paul behind the voice of a Glaive named Nyx, Sean Bean for King Regis, and Lena Headey for Luna Freya.
