Bandai Namco has released a new video to promote God Eater: Resurrection. It is a twelve and a half minute, animated prequel from Ufotable with Japanese voice acting and English subtitles. (As a warning, there are some rather violent and bloody battles in the video.)
In this God Eater: Resurrection prologue, players get to watch Soma Schicksal, Lindow Amamiya, and Tsubaki Amamiya are about to take part part in a mission to get Eurasian Aragami to a nuclear fusion reactor, which will be detonated after the creatures arrive. It’s Soma’s first mission. Things don’t go according to plan, and Aragami invade the Allied Forces Strategic Command Base where the operation was being planned.
Ufotable has provided animated segments for other video games. It’s previous work includes God Eater Burst, Tales of Xillia, Summon Night 5, and Tales of Zestiria. The studio is also working on Tales of Berseria.
Both North America and Europe will see God Eater: Resurrection on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Windows PC in summer 2016.
