Lab Zero Games has finished work on the PlayStation Vita port of fighting game Skullgirls 2nd Encore and submitted it to Sony for approval.

Once Sony has approved the submission Lab Zero will announce a release date for North America and Europe. If you’ve already purchased the PlayStation 4 version you won’t have to purchase the game on PS Vita.

Alongside this announcement, Lab Zero uploaded a video that provides a look at Skullgirls 2nd Encore running on a PS Vita. You can watch that above.

In the video, the absolute longest loading time for a match is shown off. Lab Zero explains that longer loading times happen when you load two teams of three that use the six most asset-heavy characters: Big Band, Squigly, Eliza, Cerebella, Ms Fortune, and Painwheel. “Team combinations using fewer characters, smaller characters, or duplicate characters (on opposing teams) will result in faster loading times,” Lab Zero says.

There’s also a frame rate demonstration that shows the slowest frame rate you’ll see during a match. This occurs when “Big Band hits the opponent and their assist character with his Lv3 Blockbuster (Strike Up The Band) while his own assist character is on screen.”
