Sega announced today that their MMORPG title, Phantasy Star Online 2, is its PlayStation 4 version will officially launch in Japan on April 20, 2016. 4Gamer provides the latest details.
Starting January 25 until February 15, fans will get to submit their applications through the PlayStation Store for a chance to be one of the 50,000 people to get in on the closed beta test that will take place from February 25 until March 6.
Players who get up to certain levels will get special in-game items when the game officially launches, and there will also be a “Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode 4 Deluxe Package” for PS4, PS Vita, and PC that will be available for 4,900 yen when the game launches on April 20.
The Deluxe Package features a costume for Itsuki from the Phantasy Star Online 2 anime, along with an item code to acquire various items that will come in handy during your adventure.
Sega will also have a “Character Create Demo Version Episode 4” sometime in late-February for players to check out how the game runs on their PCs.
Phantasy Star Online 2 will release in Japan for PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2016.
