Spike Chunsoft and tri-Ace released their latest trailer for Exist Archive, the upcoming “side-view” RPG, and the video gives us a closer look at one of the game’s heroes, Ren Ogami.
Unlike what we’ve seen from the other characters thus far, the “voices” that Ren hears in his video isn’t as pleasant, as they’re voices of his father and grandfather arguing.
The argument starts out with the grandfather saying “development plans!? While ignoring the fact that Ren disappeared… why are we talking about this now, you idiot son!”
Ren’s father explains that he hasn’t even started it yet, to which the grandfather asks if he actually considers himself Ren’s father with that. The father seems to have his own reasons for it, but nonetheless, it wasn’t something Ren wanted to hear.
Mitsuhide asks Ren if it’s true that he’s the son of the Ogami Group, to which Ren cheerfully answers with “yes! I’m that Ren!” Mitsuhide felt a bit embarrassed about asking the question, but Ren explains that it’s no big deal, as it’s not something he obtained with his own strength.
Kujo asks if that means he needs to return back home for important matters, but Ren says that he doesn’t especially care to go back home, and that this is actually the first time he’s been able to make some friends in real life.
