Atlus USA hasn’t confirmed Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, but we’re pretty sure it’s coming. First, it’s a Shin Megami Tensei game. Atlus is gung-ho about releasing the series stateside. Second, Antarctica was picked as the setting so it would appeal better to an international audience. Another good sign, but not as solid as a leak.
Superstar tipper Denpa no Sekai found one (thanks!!) on Amazon.ca which lists Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey’s release date as March 10, 2010. That seems about right. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor took around six months to localize. Strange Journey came out in October so the time line fits.
After hearing about this leak I scanned for other potential Atlus games like Yggdra Unison, Growlanser, Persona 3 Portable, and 3D Dot Game Heroes but couldn’t find anything.
While I continue to search for random games that Atlus might pick up, read our impressions of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
