Microsoft announced they will release Carcassonne, a German board game, as this week’s Xbox Live Arcade title. Carcassonne is a tiled based board game where players build a city by lining up tiles that represent fields, roads and castle walls. To get newbies up to speed on how to play Carcassonne there is a tutorial and for fans Sierra’s version of Carcassonne adds in the Rivers II expansion set. Carcassonne also supports the Xbox Live Vision camera, if you're into the whole seeing who your opponents are thing.

 

After seeing the success of Catan, Carcassonne could be just as promising and it rings up at the same price 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
