Sekai Project has published Ebi-Hime’s shoujo-ai visual novel Asphyxia on Steam. It’s set in England in the 1790s and concerns two female poets.

You follow Samantha who, after falling into depression, lost her best friend Lillian. She doesn’t think she did anything wrong to cause them to fall apart. Nonetheless, Samantha gets her chance to reclaim what she had with Lillian three months later, as they’re forced to be together while on a geography trip to the Lake District.

“Will she finally be able to repair her relationship with Lillian – or will it collapse all over again?” the game’s description asks. That’s up to you to find out.

Asphyxia is the follow-up to Ebi-Hime’s freeware visual novel Dejection: An Ode, which you can download here. It’s not necessary to play Dejection before you play Asphyxia.
