Land of No Night protagonist Arnath will face the daunting task of finding a way to seal away the Lord of Night without hurting her friend Rulitis, but they’ll still get to find some time to enjoy each other’s company between missions. 4Gamer shares a look at the latest.
As we know so far, Arnath faces the dilemma of following order from the church that involves sending her friend Rulitis to get sacrificed to seal away the “Lord of Night,” or if she can manage to find a way to do so while keeping her alive.
Rulitis has already accepted her duty as the “Saint” of the current generation. For this reason, they find themselves in a difficult situation that is full of quarrels between the two of them.
Arnath is given the order to take the Saint with her to the altar, so they can seal the night away.
After finally reaching the altar, they discover that it was a fake one. Having spent some time together, Rulitis reveals her true intention of having become a Saint—to protect Arnath.
Now that Arnath knows the truth about Rulitis’ true intentions, the two are able to spend time together for a short while until they get the next order from the church. During this time, their bond will continue to grow as they communicate with one another.
Following the case of the fake altar, Arnath is given another task from the church; however, Rulitis disappears from the hotel and is nowhere to be found. While feeling uneasy, Arnath decides to follow the order she was given.
Arnath meets up with her senior Corin, who asks about her intention of protecting Rulitis. As it turns out, it was Corin who took Rulitis away, in order to challenge Arnath to see who is better suited to protect the Saint.
It is then revealed that Corin intentionally drank the Lord of Night’s blood in order to get power to protect the Saint.
There will be moments where Arnath and Rulitis will get to take a break from the all their problems, and enjoy some tea and sweets. Some Servans will do just about anything to defend Arnath and help her cause. Arnath also faces some problems of her own, when she’s told by a certain Jayou that she’s more of a monster than anyone else.
Things become even more mysterious when the first-generation Saint appears to have been revived and shows up in front of Arnath. She previously sealed away the Lord of Night, but it remains unknown as to how she revived, and what is her objective.
Land of No Night will release in Japan on September 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
