The Kickstarter for Keiji Inafune’s Red Ash isn’t doing all that well. It’s going slower than one would expect from a popular crowdfunding campaign, and the game’s development staff appear to have recognized this.

Over on Twitter, the Red Ash development team tweeted: “We are cooking up a nice little surprise for those who want to see Red Ash gameplay of some sort. But it will still take some more time! We will be showing more development progress as the campaign goes on. The team is working hard on it as we speak!”

Until gameplay footage is ready to be shown, you’ll need to make do with the animatic above. This is an extended version of some of the story concepts depicted in the Red Ash Kickstarter video. It’s a mini-episode that takes place on the day leading up to the game’s KalKanon storyline.

Meanwhile, Red Ash backers now have the ability to vote for what console will receive a port of the game. Which console is in the lead remains unknown.
