The Other PS3 Motion Controller

Sony’s yet-to-be-named motion controller won’t be ready until spring 2010. Third party accessory maker Blaze is hoping to a capitalize on this with their own “Nintendo Wii-mote style motion sensing controller”.

That’s their controller, which, according to their press release, has full PS3 functions and Wii style gaming activity. Doesn’t appear to be compatible with Sony’s official motion controller either since Blaze’s device works without a camera and senses movement with internal sensors – like a regular PlayStation 3 controller. Basically, you’re getting a Sixaxis wand which might work with High Velocity Bowling, Flower, and Lair.

Seems kind of silly and almost as mind boggling as their WiiFit fitness weights.
