Here’s A Look At The Upcoming God Eater Anime’s Protagonist

Ufotable and Bandai Namco are teaming up for a new God Eater anime, which will begin airing this summer in Japan. During a recent ufotable Cinema event, they shared a look at a new trailer, along with the new protagonist named Renka Utsugi. Dengeki shares a look at more from the event.

In addition to other characters seen throughout the God Eater series, such as Lindow Amamiya, Soma, and Alisa, fans will see several other familiar faces in the new anime.

While we still don’t know much about the main character of the anime, Renka Utsugi, he’s a God Arc-user, and will be voiced by Ryuichi Kijima, whom they decided to go with after going through over 100 different voice actors in the auditions.

The opening theme will be done by Oldcodex, and we’ll get to check it out as soon as the trailer becomes available for viewing.
