Naruto Ultimate Storm and .Hack makers, CyberConnect2, have been teasing a new project lately, and as it turns out, they’re actually working on three new next generation titles. CEO and president Hiroshi Matsuya shared more in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima]

According to Matsuyama, CyberConnect2 have a lot going on as part of their 20th anniversary celebration. We previously reported how the company are hiring staff for a new project. Additionally, Matsuyama reveals that the advertisement they previously put out (shown in the above image) contains keywords for the three games they’re working on at the moment.

Of all the keywords, the ones with the larger font are hints at the first title. The medium and smaller keywords are for the second and third titles, Matsuyama says.

According to Matsuyama, if you look at the larger key words, you get “photorealistic,” “RPG,”, “World Wide,” “Unreal Engine 4,” and “physics-based rendering,” as hints of what to expect.

The keyword for “open-world” goes to the second title, while “VR (virtual reality)” is for the third title. All three are said to be brand new titles, and are in development for the next generation.

“Until recently, the number of our development lines’ work has been just about even between home console games and games for smartphones,” said Matsuyama. “However, we’re going to switch to a 7-to-3 ratio in favor of home console titles.”

“We’re going to work hard on home console titles, even in such an era of today [where smartphone games are increasingly becoming popular].”
