The scientists at the Squid Research Laboratory have been doing their best to learn more about the squids and octopi of Splatoon. They share more about Splatoon and all-things squid in their latest tweets.
According to the latest squid research, Inklings can go through fences, such as the one seen above, when they’re in their squid form. This allows them to take shortcuts, but doing so when on top of a fence may cause them to fall below, so you’ll have to be careful!
Here’s a sketch that was sent to one of the scientists. It depicts an Inkling girl equipped with a Charge Shot. Her knit cap with large decorations to go with it makes her look cute, even though she is a squid.
The octopus combatants come in various classes. There are some that use shields to prevent attacks from the front, and some that hide inside ink as they wait for their opponents. They may not be the brightest creatures around, but they’re still powerful!
There are different ways to take them out, so you’ll need to be aware of your surroundings before doing so. You can read our earlier report to catch up on the Squid Research Laboratory’s previous findings, including a peek inside an Octopus Corps’ base.
