Book organizing wasn’t the best way to demonstrate Clap Hanz’s next PSP game, Minna no Sukkiri. The Great Georama Battle does a much better job.

The Great Georama Battle is one of twelve quick play games in Minna no Sukkiri and it puts you control a toy soldier that parachutes into a war zone. The lone commando is armed with a machine gun and a limited number of grenades. The goal of the game is to rescue fifty civilians, but there isn’t any pressure to save them. You can run around the map shooting tanks, collecting life refilling hearts, and blowing up turrets that spontaneously appear until the end of time or when your PSP runs out of battery. Whatever comes first.

It’s a simple, but The Great Georama Battle an addictive time wasting type of game. The best part is the demo is free! Just log on to the Japanese PlayStation Store and navigate to the demo and trailer section (look for “PV”) to download it. If you’re interested try to grab it soon. Sony pulled the book organizing game from the PlayStation Store so this could go offline at anytime.

The final version of Minna no Sukkiri comes out in Japan on October 1. Sony hasn’t said anything about a US release, but I bet they will localize this and give it a name like Hot Shots Party.
