Korea’s Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Closed Beta Kicks Off Next Year

Eorza is expanding. Square Enix plans to bring their popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, to South Korea. Actoz Soft will distribute the PC version in the region.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will have dedicated servers for Korea and Actoz Soft plans to retain the paid subscription business model for the game. This is a change from other MMORPGs in Korea which are free to download, but have virtual goods to purchase. A closed beta test for the Korean version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled for the first half of 2015.
