Street Fighter: Puzzle Spirits Is More Puzzle & Dragons Than Puzzle Fighter

Capcom is making a new puzzle game spinoff with the Street Fighter characters, but Street Fighter: Puzzle Spirits feels more like it’s geared towards the Puzzle & Dragons crowd than fans of Super Puzzle Fighter.

Characters like Ryu and Chun Li fight on top, but they can only use special moves if you charge them by tapping on spirits that are the same color. Green spirits charge green special moves, red spirits charge red attacks, and so forth. When at attack is full you can tap on it just like using a monster’s skill in Puzzle & Dragons.

Street Fighter: Puzzle Spirits will be released on iOS and Android this winter. Players that pre-register for the game will get an Evil Ryu’s Hadouken card.
