Adventurers inEorzea are all looking forward to the much anticipated version 2.4 update for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which will include a new class and job, along with a Primal fight against Shiva, and 4Gamer gives us a little preview with the latest screenshots from the upcoming patch.
Rogue:
Lurking in the shadows, adhering to no laws but their own, they punish the wicked, pilfering their ill-gotten gains and delivering them to the downtrodden masses. Thought by many to be mere common criminals, some would say they play an unseen hand in maintaining order in the buccaneer’s haven of Limsa Lominsa.
Ninja:
Hailing from the war-torn lands of the Far East, the secret arts of the ninja were born of necessity, and have since given rise to a unique breed of highly-trained combatants.
Able to manipulate the vital energies of the land, the air, and living beings, they manifest their power through the weaving of signs, unleashing a wide array of attacks against their foes. Master the arts of the ninja and learn to bend the tide of battle to your will.
With the grand motto of “all for the sake of Eorza” a new organization called “Crystal Brave” was formed. Along with this organization who aim to pioneer a unification of Eorza, adventurers will chase the shadows that plot in south of Ul’dah and northern Ishgard.
While we still don’t know what to expect, it is said that a great menace awaits.
Finally, here’s a look at some of the new dungeons that will be included in the 2.4 update:
Snowcloak:
For the longest time, it was thought that this large iceberg could not be traveled into, but a secret path was drilled open. All kinds of monsters lurk inside, including what appears to be Fenrir, looking pretty cool.
The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard):
The Sunken Temple of Qarn is back in its Hard Mode form. It looks like there will Cactuars and various desert monsters, in addition to some ghastly-looking knights. I wonder if it’ll involve more puzzles and secret paths.
Sastasha (Hard):
Sastasha, the very first dungeon that was quite exciting for new adventurers, available upon hitting Lv. 15, but now, adventurers aren’t as happy to see it during a low level Daily Roulette.
However, now that it’ll come back in its Hard Mode form, we may once again rejoice in its more difficult version. Hopefully it’ll also have some nice loot from the pirates as well!
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s 2.4 update is expected to launch sometime this month.
