Senran Kagura: Estival Versus is set on a heavenly resort-like island, where the the Asuka and others will take on hundreds of enemies on the beaches. While we don’t know too much about the story, the game’s official website gives us a clue in poetic fashion.

The fate of a ninja is the fate of death. Born from the shadows, then dispersed into the shadows.

A ninja’s life is short-lived. A ninja’s life is unrequited. An unnamed flower, known by nobody.

What do the ninjas’ souls that drift into this world think? Are their hearts filled with regret? Regrets for those they left behind? Or…

This is the start of a story about a festival to appease the soul of the ninja… a record of the banquet of requiem. By the end of this banquet, what will the young ninja students see? What will they feel? And what will make them cry?

“… s-sister?”

“Hehe, it’s been a while.”

… that will never be forgotten.

That could never be forgotten… the start of the eight days that went by like a flash.

Check our earlier report to get a first look at the three new characters Renka, Hanabi, and Kufuru, who happen to be sisters and will be playable in the game.

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus will release in Japan on March 26, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
