Today, Bandai Namco showed off their Tokyo Game Show 2014 trailer for God Eater 2: Rage Burst for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
For those of you who’d rather not read spoilers, you might want to skip out on the following description:
In the trailer, they show the young new captain of the Fenrir special forces Blood. Since Julius Visconti, the former captain of Blood who excelled at fighting and military tactics died, they’ve got the new character, Levi, to replace him and his talents.
Levi is shown at around the 1:30 mark of the video, and they explain that she’s also compatible with Julius’ God Arc and is shown wielding the new scythe weapon.
The trailer provides a look at the new “Blood Rage” system that gives you different buffs with various conditions that must be met. Depending on how harsh the chosen condition is, the stronger the buff will be once you meet the requirement.
Later on in the trailer, they reveal that Julius might not be dead after all, as Levi states that he’s still alive, and they also show someone who looks like him with longer hair and torn attire.
Additionally, Game Jouhou reports that as part of God Eater’s fifth anniversary, Bandai Namco announced an anime project is in the works, and currently under production by ufotable.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst will release in Japan sometime this Winter for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
