Koei is up porting Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce (aka Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid), which was originally a PSP game, to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce introduced elements that made Monster Hunter Freedom a hit like ad-hoc cooperative play and loot collecting to the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Also new to Strikeforce are Super Saiyan style transformations which change iconic characters from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms into supernatural avatars.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Special for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 beefs up the graphics and changes ad-hoc play to online play. Up to four players can meet up on PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. Strikeforce Special supports text chat and voice chat.

Koei will release Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Special in Japan on October 1. An international release has not been announced. However, the game has voice chat a feature that isn’t popular in Japan, but a must for a North America.

Strikeforce Special has new characters too like Meng Huo, which morphs into a blazing lion thing.
