The Wonderful 101’s official soundtrack is getting a digital release, PlatinumGames have announced via their devblog. The game’s director, Hideki Kamiya, wrote a blog post explaining just what you can expect from the OST release.

The soundtrack, Kamiya says, will contain 127 tracks. It’s being split up into two volumes that can be purchased for $10 each, while individual tracks can be bought for $0.99. The sound quality of the songs has seen an improvement over the in-game versions, and the game’s main theme, “The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100,” has been remastered as well.

After a brief overview of what the soundtrack will include, Kamiya goes on to tell an amusing story about how he requested that the theme song for The Wonderful 101 be changed right before the game was about to go gold. If you’re into fun videogame trivia, you might enjoy reading his thoughts on the game’s music.

The Wonderful 101 soundtrack will be available starting September 16th via iTunes or Sumting.com.
