One Legged Seagull Games is hoping to add the knight from Shovel Knight as a playable character in its SNES-style kart racer Super Indie Karts.

Unfortunately, Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games are busy at PAX Prime right now so they haven’t been contactable to give permission for the knight’s appearance in the racer yet. Despite that, as you can see in the image above, One Legged Seagull Games has drawn Shovel Knight in a kart to show what it’d look like in Super Indie Karts.

If you didn’t know, Super Indie Karts is an indie game crossover, 16-bit karting game that’s currently up on Kickstarter. It plays a lot like Mario Kart with power-ups to collect around tracks, boosts for drifting around corners, and shortcuts to find.

The game supports play for up to four players in split-screen, and supplies Battle, Bomb Blast, and other competitive modes. It also boasts over 20 playable characters from various indie games with more to be added, and the final version of the game will have 30 tracks.

One Legged Seagull Games needs to raise $16,000 in funding on Kickstarter by September 12th. Those who pledge $10 AUD (approximately $9.32 USD) and upwards will receive a copy of Super Indie Karts on a platform of their choice, including Windows, Mac, and OUYA. Other platforms will be available if the Kickstarter stretch goals are reached, and those currently include Linux, PlayStation Vita, Xbox, and Wii U.

You can also vote for Super Indie Karts to come to Steam on Greenlight.
