Judas Code is an upcoming free-to-play title by tri-Ace, featuring a single player shooting mode, and a card-battle multiplayer mode. The game’s official website shares a few more details on the story and some new characters.

 

The year is 20xx, and in the midst of World War III, a giant pillar called “Longinus” appeared, and began to erode Earth after causing irreversible damage. Afterwards, war continued raging on three factions came to power: The Rouage Republic, GAS, and a group of “new humans” called Regenerators.

This mysterious girl doesn’t exactly have a name, but she’s an Operating System that can only be heard by those of the Regenerators. She appears in front of the protagonist after he/she joins the Regenerators.

Mei Yasoshima is a childhood friend of the protagonist. She was originally an operator for a free company, but after the protagonist gets kicked out, they join the Missing Mebius guild. She has has a knack for making good decisions.

Muerta Megalith is the leader of the Regenerator organization guild, Missing Mebius. He’s quite the tough guy who stays active for the sake of saving other Regenerators. Muerta has been through all kinds of experiences, and is known as the legendary soldier, the God of Death.

 

 

The above trailer doesn’t show any gameplay footage, but acts as a tease for the game, along with the story we know thus far.

 

Judas Code will be released this Summer in Japan, as a free-to-play title with micro-transactions for PS Vita.
