As reported earlier in the month, Nintendo will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS tournament at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. In addition to the tournament, the publisher also plans to run a two-day livestream from the show.
On July 25th and 26th, Nintendo will be streaming from Comic-Con via their Twitch channel. Here’s how they describe their livestream:
On July 25 and July 26, Nintendo will stream Nintendo Challenge Live, a stage show hosted from the Nintendo Gaming Lounge that features intense tournament competition and awesome game-play challenges from some of the hottest upcoming games on Nintendo platforms. Fans can open their browsers to https://www.twitch.tv/nintendo to catch all of the action and stick around for hours to soak in all the festivities.
That doesn’t sound as ambitious as Nintendo’s E3 Treehouse Live event, so we’d advise not getting your hopes up for anything beyond gameplay footage. The games scheduled to appear at Nintendo’s booth include those listed below. Just how many of these will be on the livestream remains to be seen.
Nintendo 3DS:
- Super Smash Bros.
- Pokémon Art Academy
- Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
- Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
- Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call
- Shovel Knight
- Siesta Fiesta
