Tecmo Koei’s upcoming strategic and tactical expansion, Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will have several new commanders to go with an enhanced Edit Mode feature. This week’s issue of Famitsu shares a few more details. (Thanks, Game Jouhou.)

According to the report, Xun Yu has been revealed as one of the new commanders, and it seems like he’ll be using his Formation Wand, as he did in Dynasty Warriors 8.

Players will also be able to transfer data from the previous game (not specified as to which title,) and one of the elements you can carry over are all commander edits. The features that carry over from this are names, gender, face, body type, armor, action, and voice.

Additionally, Tecmo Koei will add a large quantity of base models for Edit Mode.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will release sometime in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
