Sega’s free to play game Initial D: Perfect Shift Online will kick off in Japan on April 2. While the game is set in the Initial D universe, it’s more of a card collecting game than racing game. Your card automatically drives, but you can pass opponents by shifting gears at the right time.

If you logon to Initial D: Perfect  Shift Online between April 2 and April 16 you’ll get a gasoline recovery ticket and a pride recovery ticket as a bonus. Sega has not announced any plans to bring Initial D: Perfect Shift Online outside of Japan.
