Those of us accustomed to pronouncing it “Kuristaru Byearah” will need to stop doing that now (A pity, really…I quite liked it that way). The game’s localized release isn’t far off, judging by this English debut trailer. “This winter” is all we’re going to get for now, but perhaps we’ll hear more at E3?

The trailer gives the impression that crystal bearers aren’t exactly welcomed into society with open arms. It also gives us an idea of what the English dub will sound like, and it’s not bad overall. Layle comes off just as much of a smartass as he does in the Japanese trailers.

The trailer features quite a few shots of gameplay that we haven’t seen before, too, including a nice mid-air QTE. At this point, I’m completely in love with the Crystal Bearers theme, which makes another appearance 3/4 of the way through the video.

The only thing I’m going to be nitpicky about is the “jumping off while yelling” scene. Really, they didn’t need to dub that part.

Spencer’s note: It’s not just the trailer. The Japanese press release containing Square Enix’s lineup confirms Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is targeted for this winter. However, this “winter” is a long variable window. It could be December 2009 or February 2010.
