Last week, Marvelous AQL released Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land for the Nintendo 3DS, and it saw the biggest opening for any Harvest Moon game in recent years. Connect to a New Land sold 130,782 copies in its opening week.

For comparison, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, the previous Harvest Moon game on Nintendo 3DS, sold 81,131 copies in its first week. Both the Rune Factory and Harvest Moon games have seen growth since they moved to 3DS, which is a good sign for Marvelous.

Meanwhile, Fossil Fighters: Infinite Gear, published by Nintendo for 3DS, sold 58,329 copies. On the PlayStation 3 and Vita front, Tecmo Koei’s Deception IV: Blood Ties sold a combined total of 42,576 across both platforms.

Finally, Yo-Kai Watch fans will want to note that the game has sold 496,455 copies at retail thus far. On February 19th, Level 5 announced that they had shipped 500,000 copies of the game thus far, which means that Yo-kai Watch has sold through that entire shipment. Hopefully, Level 5 have managed to get more copies of the game to retailers by now or we’re going to see the effects of a shortage hurting its sales.
