Strange censorship in Spectrobes

Since Spectrobes is a family title and the names of your Spectrobes are sent to an online database it is natural for Disney Interactive to censor out some four letter words. However, I never knew that “Sega” was as bad a curse word, but according to the Spectrobes team it is. If you try to rename a Spectrobe “Sega” a message comes up saying that you cannot use the name. It doesn’t look like it’s a clear case of eliminating competitors because Spectrobes can be named Xbox, Konami, or Capcom. It appears that Sega was singled out. There’s got to be some kind of interesting story behind this decision, perhaps a disgruntle ex-Sega employee works at Jupiter?

Edit: Or maybe it’s not so mysterious, as Pichi explains Sega is a pejorative slang word in Italian. Since Spectrobes is an international title it makes sense that Disney is censoring out adult language in other regions. I tried out some French swear words and to no surprise those were censored too.
