A tide of online enabled action RPGs are in development for Wii ready to come out this summer in Japan. There’s Takt of Magic, Monster Hunter Tri, and lingering somewhere in the background Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga.
Marvelous announced a summer target for their action RPG series. Use your Wii remote or Classic Controller and create a character with a out of 10,000+ combinations. Two races have been confirmed: humans and elves. The PSP games sport other common fantasy races such as dwarves and halflings. While Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga has online play it isn’t aiming to be a MMO. Only two players can meet up, through Nintendo Wi-Fi only. Ad-hoc co-op was another key feature of the PSP games, but Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga looks like an entirely different game from Valhalla Knights 2. It feels like Monster Hunter without a community of players.
