Originally this was a bonus Game Boy Advance game that was included in the Link to the Past cartridge. However, many people didn’t take advantage of the Four Swords. Two years later The Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords Plus gets a number of additions and becomes a full fledged Gamecube title. Not just a standard Gamecube title, but a game that exemplifies what exactly Game Boy Advance connectivity can do.
