Sony are working on a virtual-reality headset for their PlayStation 4 console, which may be revealed at Tokyo Game Show or in 2014, according to reports from CVG and Eurogamer respectively.

Both reports state that Evolution Studios are currently working on implementing the device to be compatible with their upcoming DriveClub game for PS4. The headset will reportedly be used to create a virtual cockpit view of the game’s vehicles.

While Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida declined to comment when asked by Eurogamer about the VR headset at Gamescom, he did mention to CVG back in August that Sony are researching “a lot of things” they can’t talk about at present.
