With a formal press unveiling Namco Bandai clarified more details about Tales of Graces. Important details like its Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System (SS-LMBS). Aspbel, the game’s knightly protagonist, can switch between two fighting styles. One style keeps Aspbel’s sword in its sheath. The other makes Aspbel hold his sword above his head, ready to strike. Tales of Graces characters also have a 3D quickstep move which let them dodge and set up quick counter attacks.
Tales of Graces supports a Wii remote/nunchuck combination and the Classic Controller Pro, which producer Hideo Baba holds during the presentation. A strange plug since the Classic Controller Pro is just a revised version of the existing Classic Controller. Is Namco Bandai planning to utilize the Pro’s larger shoulder buttons? We’ll find out this winter.
