Toriko’s Fighting Game Is All About Food

While you’re waiting for J-Stars Victory Vs., you can play a fighting game starring one of Jump’s characters. Toriko: Gourmetga Battle is a four player free for all brawl with giant monsters in the background.

Food items also show up on the battlefield, there are over 130 kinds of food items like soup, fish, drinks, salad, and dessert that you can eat. In the heat of battle, these fill up your calorie meter (CP) which lets you do super attacks. Food can also strengthen your character stats when a battle is over. Toriko: Gourmetga Battle has the Four Heavenly Kings, a number of enemies, and Terry as playable characters. Other characters like Komatsu are in the game as support characters.

The fight for the Ultimate Meat begins when Toriko: Gourmetga Battle comes out on July 4 for Nintendo 3DS.
