In Square Enix’s upcoming transforming car RPG, Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross, you’ll be driving cars that can transform into mechs, while taking on dungeons (races) in various parts of Japan. The game’s official website gives us a look at some of its multiplayer features.
Multiplayer features can be accessed through the game’s main base, called Arcadia, where you’ll get to go head-to-head against your friends or trade Gyrozetters. Additionally, there’s “Challenge Battle” that allows you to fight bosses that are exclusive to this mode.
The Battle Mode is pretty straight forward. They don’t allow the use of any items and the Final Burst Gauge won’t fill up, so it’ll boil down to who has the better skills. The Gyrozetter trading feature will make it easier for you and your friends to collect as many as you can, and you’ll also be able to look at each other’s Drivers IDs, which shows off player info such as their rank, play time, total distance traveled and number of Gyrozetters.
As previously mentioned, the Challenge Mode is a feature that allows you to take on unique bosses, but it will also feature many bosses that are from the main story mode. You’ll fight bosses by tagging up with another friend and will be able to pull off Double Final Bursts together. Defeating the bosses will reward you with Z Cards and Gyrozetters, including some that can only be acquired through Challenge Battle.
Gyrozetter: Wings of the Albatross is slated for release on June 13 for Nintendo 3DS.
