The last game in the Forza Motorsport series was Forza Horizon, which was released for the Xbox 360 in October 2012. Siliconera discovered a trademark for Forzavista filed by Microsoft.
Jokes about a Forza Motorsport game aside, the Forzavista trademark is filled under IC 009, the usual class for video games and game software, but the description is rather specific. Forzavista is "a feature of interactive video game software which allows players to obtain statistical information of internal and external features of a vehicle and to virtually navigate and operate those vehicles." Compare this to the trademark for Forza Motorsport which is for "computer programs, namely, game software for use on computers and video game players."
Our hypothesis is Forzavista will be a feature in an upcoming Forza Motorsport game. Forza Motorsport 4 had a feature called "Auto Vista" in it.
Tomorrow, on May 21st, Microsoft will be holding an Xbox reveal event at their campus in Redmond, Washington, where news of the company’s next Xbox device is expected. Perhaps we’ll see Forzavista there inside a new Forza Motorsport game for the next Xbox.
