Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Reaches U.S. On July 11th

As previously reported, Konami are releasing a Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection compilation for the PlayStation 3. This will contain the following Metal Gear games:

 

  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition
  • MGS3 includes MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid IV: Trophy Edition

 

In addition to the aforementioned games, the compilation will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels and a 100-page art book containing marketing art for the series.

 

This morning, Konami announced an American release date for the compilation—July 9th for $50. Japan gets the game on July 11th. A European release date hasn’t been announced yet.
