The Wii launched with Wii Sports, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and a handful of content channels like the Weather Channel and News Channel. Those services will end, at least in Japan, on June 28.

The Weather Channel, Digital Camera Print Channel, News Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Check Mii Out Channel, WiiConnect24 data exchanges, and Nintendo Channel will shutdown on that day.
Wii owners will still be able to access the Wii Shop Channel to purchase WiiWare or Virtual Console games and write messages on the Wii Message Board.
