On Bitterblack Isle, one of the new areas in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Rift Crystals will play an important role in lighting up dungeons and restoring broken Rift Stones.

Rift Crystals are scattered across Bitterblack Isle and can be obtained from treasure chests, enemy drops or sometimes these items can be found on the field.

Deep inside Dragon Dogma: Dark Arisen’s dungeons you may find unlit torches you can use to light the way. Continuing blindly in the dark will mean danger to you and the rest of the party.

Rift Crystals can be used illuminate torches. Not only will these improve visibility, but torches can also be used as a powerful weapon by shining a holy ray of light towards any nearby enemies.

Due to the additional uses of Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, they’ll be found more commonly than they were in Gransys. However, you’ll still have to use them sparingly at times when your sources are low.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released on April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe.
